According to Anne Williams, Jigsaw Puzzles, An Illustrated
History and Price Guide, Milton Bradley produced travel game kits for soldiers during the
American Civil War. The company has produced many different lines of puzzles, including Bradley's,
Piedmont, Beach, Chevy Chase, Buckingham, Etonian, Sheffield, Strand, and, of course, the familiar

Magnum Magnum puzzles seems to have been produced in series no. 4280 (with 2000 pieces) between about 1971 and about 1982. Then,
they were produced in series no. 4550 (with 3000 pieces) from about 1985 to 1999. They are the largest jigsaw puzzles
published by MILTON
