We understand this series to have been produced approximately 1978 to 1996, with about 2500 pieces per puzzle. "FF" tells us
that " the piece pattern on the 2500 grand series changed to a new style, right around the same time that the piece pattern on
the 3000 magnums changed." |

"FF" reports 3000 piece puzzles, issued in England. He describes these as "a completely different series of 3000 piece puzzles. The box art is a little different, and reads "MB Grand 3000 piece puzzle." In very fine print there is "Milton Bradley International, B.V., under universal copywright convention. Made in Terapel,Holland." He reports one as: "...# 3299-34, produced in 1985. |
The title is in 4 languages, and in English, reads "Kauns, Tirol, Osterreich". The scene is a beauty, high in the Tyrolean Alps. The piece pattern is totally different, and the pieces have the green paper backing that was used on all the early MB puzzles made in the US. The second [puzzle] is " Torrent, Wallis-Lotschental, Switzerland ", # 3289-44, made in 1988, in Apel, Holland." |
